Since this group meets IRL (it says), when and where are those meetings?

We haven't set up anything officially, I've used it mostly to keep up with all the cool books everyone else is reading. I'd love to have a group book with a bit of discussion, even if it's asynchronously over Slack.
Some of the books we have read at Luna include Naked Statistics and Dataclysm (sp?). Also, The Signal and the Noise (Nate Silver.) Michael Bartholow runs that intermittent company book club. I think the last one was best, since Silver appeals to many kinds of interest with his data – – poker, baseball, politics.
Those sound great! We've had company-wide annual book clubs for at least the past four years, started as a single book per year but starting in 2016 it grew to be a set of books each suited for particular competencies (Business Development, Digital Marketing, Engineering, Service Delivery, Talent & Culture, etc.). Here's a short list of the ones I remember from years past:- The Oz Principle
- 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
- Clean Code
- You're My Favorite Client
- Mobile Web Handbook
- Design Patterns
- The Pragmatic Programmer
- The Checklist Manifesto
- Mythical Man Month
- A Web for Everyone
I enjoyed The Signal and the Noise. Last time I was in Chicago, I was telling Eugene about Everybody Lies which was also an interesting book.Like Steve said, we have a company-wide book club, but we also do one-offs when a group of people are interested. Getting Stuff Done and It's Your Ship come to mind as books that have been covered that way.
