HI Team!!!
I am excited for Uno to start. This is my third time playing, second time being a captain. I love group challenges and love reading.
I live in North Carolina and really happy the snow has missed so far this season. I am married, have 3 adult boys, I guess I should say men, and three cats.

Hi everyone! This is my second time playing. First time I was captain and this time I'm a co-captain!
I love in Michigan with my boyfriend of almost 5 years. I work at Barnes & Noble (Lucky me right? ;)). I'm pretty boring other than that haha. So excited to see some familiar faces and to get to know everyone else as well

Hopefully you're chatty or at least okay with other people being chatty! It's so fun to talk about the books but also... well literally everything else there is to talk about! We have at least three chatty people on this team

I’m really glad that this is a chatty team. Almost every team challenge I’ve done anywhere feels like a ghost town because no one will talk and I’m stuck talking to myself trying to carry on a conversation haha.

I've been on teams like that too. It's definitely not as fun. But you got us so you're lucky ;)

I'm a night owl so I'm usually up until 2am-ish. I've been going to bed earlier as it used to be 5 am LOL. My work schedule is a bit all over (as all retail is) so sometimes I'll be on more during the day and sometimes more at night. But I'll be around daily.. multiple times because I have no life haha.

I am around a lot too. I do not work and also having surgery on the 16th and won’t be able to do much other than take it easy and read/listen to books. I even have doctors orders that I can’t vacuum for several weeks. I told my husband and that I am not allowed to clean for six weeks, doctor’s orders

This is only my second time playing UNO, but I love group challenges and I love reading. Can't wait to get to know everyone new and so happy to be playing with Ora and Beth!!

I live in Tennessee, not married, no kids, 1 cat...and I hate cold weather!!

I am usually around more in the evenings, but will be around during the day when work isn't too crazy. I'm a night owl also. :-)

Ora - I'm sorry to hear you are having surgery! I hope it is quick and easy and you have a fast recovery! The no cleaning for six weeks is a good perk though!

Beth - good to see you again!

Hailey - nice to "meet" you! Can't wait to get to know you more by chatting and reading! Feel free to ask anything or talk about anything. I know Beth, Ora and I aren't shy...we will talk about pretty much anything!

Hi Angie!! It is a routine surgery so it should go easy. The recovery time will drive me crazy after the first couple of weeks probably. I am a horrible patient so I told my husband to just take the day of and the day after my surgery off. Anything longer than that I will probably drive him crazy.

How long is recovery time usually? You said several weeks but to me that could be 3 or 30 because I have no sense of time haha

I have a six week recovery time.

Man....it's a whole month, practically, until we get to start playing!

Lots of time to plan what we are going to read and get to know each other!

Also a good time to see what books teammates have read so when we do the reverse card, it'll be easier to know who is going to read what. Isn't it just any book they read in the past or does it have to be during the challenge? I don't remember

I really have no idea what I will be reading. I know I will be looking on kindle unlimited for audios.

So I had Chinese for lunch today. My fortune cookies said

I’ve got well over 100 books that I haven’t read yet so this will be helping me cross some of them off. Looking through the lists I’m bound to find a book to fit each card.
I’m excited about the reverse card just to see what books someone may have in common. Also a great way for book recommendations, that’s my favorite part about group challenges.

I do love looking to see what other people are reading. I have found several new authors and series that I love.

That's entirely up to you. Some have it open so everyone can edit, others have it locked for edits save for the captains. The choice is all yours :)

Wow it sounds like you are busy. Exactly how big is a dwarf bunny? I image a bunny small enough that will fit in your hands.

I hope you enjoy Uno too! There are a few of us who I know are competitive too. Wow, the last half of school is probably busy between school and senior events. I hope you are able to enjoy yourself. Even things get crazy make sure you have "me time" regardless of it is for you. Personally I love to get mani/pedis.

Where in northern California? I grew up in the San Joaquin Valley and lived in Eureka for about 9 years.

They can be anything any genre.
