It was so difficult to find any last time I had a go at this!!! (or maybe you have signed up some since I last had a go...)

Ooops! I forgot to add the * U rule which is if by November you haven't found an U author, you can use any author who has an U in their name anywhere.
Harlequin has 7 authors with a Z last name but some haven't written something for quite some time. If no one objects, I'll happily add Z to the list of letters that can get the November helper clause.
But, don't forget you are only required to have 50% from Harlequin. I try not because it would look really weird. LOL ~ Kim

Hello everyone! I’d like to join this challenge but I’m not sure if I should start a list & then edit as months go by or wait till the end?
Dinou wrote: "Hello everyone! I’d like to join this challenge but I’m not sure if I should start a list & then edit as months go by or wait till the end?"When I did this challenge once before, I posted my updated list monthly, just so that I could be social with it. I felt as if, if I only posted at the end of the year, I'd be doing it "on my own".
Just my personal preference...others may have done it differently.

You are welcome to post as you wish.
Like Annie, I post monthly. It helps me to keep working on it throughout the year and I can ask for recommendations easily if everyone can see which letters I need the most help with. :)

Thank you both I’ll do it monthly then; I just didn’t want to clutter the thread (& by the way English isn’t my mother tongue so «please excuse my french » 😊)
BonJour Dinou. Sorry, I wish I could impress you by speaking more French but I studied Spanish in high school and one semester of Swedish in college. My French vocabulary is limited to what I learned from crossword puzzles. We're a small group who take on these year-long challenges so there shouldn't be any cluttering up concerns. ~ Kim

clever of you to get your Z out of the way this early! Last time I did this challenge I was desperate to find one by December.
As you can see I’m mostly into « oldies » so Z was note a real problem although I was not really sure if it was supposed to be under V, D or Z. I took a chance... 😉

I went with the Dutch meaning of van der which means "of the" since she is from Holland. So, in this case, it would be Karen "of the" Zees.

THis is how far I've got with the challenge so far. It's always easier to fill in the list at the beginning of the year!6 of 26 completed

I'm really pleased with my progress this month on this challenge - although it's always easier at the beginning of the year! But I'm especially pleased at finding the author Xio Axelrod and getting that X out of the way this early in the challenge.

I haven’t really kept up the same pace but no worries, I know I can (almost) do it! Anyway, it’s definitely great fun.
Dinou - Last time I did this alphabet challenge I found it really easy at the beginning of the year, but then slowed right down later on as I tried to find the more unusual letters. And I recall I didn't finish all the challenges. Which put me off trying the next year. But I missed it so much I had to sign up again!
I already have 2 letters that I’m desperately looking for; that’s why I said « almost ». But then it’s still great fun because I’m not only reading books I already own but also finding books according to their author’s name... By the way, « Yeah for your X »!
I list these challenges with the hope that everyone will dive into their poor To-be-Read backlog of books or discover new authors and genres or just a fun way to keep track of reading your favorites throughout the year. So happy to hear it is working! ~ Kim

I’m so happy to tell you all that after more or less 40 years or Harlequin reading I finally read a whole saga (in the right order too): the Bad Blood 8 books! I’m so glad that I almost don’t mind bothering you with this useless news... Did I say that I love this challenge? Anyone’s suggestion for an other saga is welcome. Now I just have to find all the other lettres...

I enjoyed the Undressed by the Boss series but I really love work-place romances. There are so many series in Harlequin Presents, it is hard to narrow it down for recommending.

My list of needed letters is finally getting to the point that I can write them down and not think it is impossible. LOL I find myself reading more book blurbs when trying to decide which books to buy each month. These challenges definitely get me to buy new-to-me authors which I love doing. :) My dream is to someday be able to buy all the books I want without worrying about going over my budget! ~ Kim

Elaine wrote: "I have just joined this group. Will there be the another A to Z Authors starting in Jan 2019?"
I certainly hope so. Next year I plan to get all the awkward letters done FIRST - as I get so busy this time of year I never seem to have time to track down the X, U and Q's

Marvellous. I'll take part....I love reading Harlequin authors. Good luck finding X, U and Q's.
Hi Elaine. :) Yes, I will definitely be running the same yearly challenges in 2019. Hopefully, I will do better. My schedule has been overtaken this year since my mom broke her back in June. I've been reading but not looking for the letters so my challenges will fail this time. Go 2019!
Pam, as usual, you amaze me.
Annie, I have no hope to find my missing letters at this late date but I'm crossing my fingers for you!
