All of my reading groups and my membership with Goodreads, originate from my Wordpress blog, called RIEDEL Fascination. I would like to share in the visible way possible, my seventh anniversary! Happy seventh anniversary to RIEDEL Fascination! I would love it if you will visit and learn a bit about me. Yours sincerely, Carolyn. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2018/0...
To all Canadians: HAPPY LOUIS RIEL day! To all who are curious about Canadian history or supportive of Aboriginal history, my aneestor is worth looking up. This is a new holiday for Canadians that started a few years ago. Louis' Grandma, Marie-Anne Lagimodiere was extraordinary: the first white woman to travel and live in the Canadian west: Godmother of Manitoba! http://www.amazon.ca/review/RQB89ND28...
I have finally written a new article at my blog! There is a lot I look forward to discussing, so here is my start. It is about good, earnest listening and conversationalist faux-pas with which I have dealt. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2018/0...
Happy Easter to everyone, from Carolyn & Ron and their kitty family in Manitoba! God's blessings on all of us and our dearest Conan. We await our reunion at home. Xoxoxoxo!
Yesterday, Sunday, was your hostess' birthday! I enjoyed my turn to be thought of and pampered, on a fluffly, sparkly, magical snowy week-end. I imagine cards will come this week, given the position of my birth date. The small visit we had Saturday afternoon and night were wonderful, were just what I needed. We have a clean house, yummy food, and happy energy leftover too. Sincerely, Carolyn.
Crickets! I do invite conversation from time time. I am always ready to hear from my people. :)
I have loved the tradition of mailing and the thrill of receiving and displaying Christmas cards, all my life. No matter how busy, no matter finances at the time: this is part of how I celebrate Christmas and what it is for. Keeping in touch in a more tangible, personal way than usual - real mail - and perhaps it is the first time I have touched base with some people all year. It is a time to ensure that communication is spark; to let folks know they are valued even if conversation is sporadic.
There are a lot of wonderful benefits I value. I am inviting interaction with card people. :) If you are interested in sharing the tradition: let's exchange addresses by e-mail! Mine is RonCar(at)Prairie(dot)ca or the other e-mail address you know for group activity is fine. Yours sincerely, as I always am, Carolyn!

It is winter in Manitoba, snowy and warmer lately. As we pray for our missing cat, Conan, to return in the spring, or for the right folks to notice his poster or tattoo; books and a few TV shows bring enjoyment and relaxation to me.
