Changing Scenes

I usually just leave a blank line between sections. Or I'll do a *** in between sections/scenes. Depends on what I'm working on, but don't ask me why I sometimes use one and not the other because I have no idea.
Try this: http://theeditorsblog.net/2010/12/16/...It really doesn't matter how long the gap between scenes is. Their difference could be hours, days, weeks, years, etc., as long as you transition them well
To show when a scene has changed, authors sometimes have a blank space in between them (like Lura said). But you could also just write a short, simple sentence at the beginning of a new paragraph if you feel there is no need to completely cut off the previous scene.

How do you all deal with changing scenes in your story or novel? Do you just leave a space and start with a new scene or do you go by days[ in which you end one day and start the next]? How do you show when a scene has changed within a chapter?
