Beth | 211 comments I've decided to join the Read All the Books Challenge for the suggested minimum of 12 books. I'll update this message with a list of the ones I read. (I have tagged a bunch of potential reads or rereads for this shelf.)

11/12 read

1. Too Like the Lightning 2/9/2018 review
2. The Stars Are Legion 3/2/2018 (audio) review
3. Seven Surrenders 3/7/2018 review
4. The Fifth Season 3/20/2018 4 stars
5. Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch 3/24/2018 5 stars (I own this one, but I don't know if it counts for the owned books challenge, since I had already read it before I bought a copy)
6. The Warrior's Apprentice 3/29/2018 (audio) 2 stars, not quite what I was hoping for but an ok book. I will probably try Bujold again at some point.
7. The Man in the High Castle 4/22/2018 5 stars review
8. The Lathe of Heaven 4/29/2018 4 stars
9. Spin 5/5/2018 3 stars
10. The Obelisk Gate 7/24/2018
11. Little, Big 7/28/2018 4 stars
12. ?

Beth | 211 comments I have just DNFed The Anubis Gates and Rendezvous with Rama, so I guess I won't be counting them for either of my challenges.

I still have on my shelves:
Little, Big
Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch (this will be a reread, but I haven't reread it since before I actually bought a copy)
The Eyre Affair
The Man in the High Castle

That's it for the Read All the Books Challenge (besides library books).

Other sf/f on my shelves (unread):
Orlando
Quicksilver
The Ascent of Wonder: The Evolution of Hard SF (anthology)
Otherwise: Three Novels by John Crowley
Something About Eve
Galileo's Dream bought at library sale (2018)
The Boat of a Million Years, Remake, The Privilege of the Sword If on a Winter's Night a Traveler The Accursed, Her Body and Other Parties, [updated - added these 3 to my read list] [library giveaways, 2018)

That's it, unless I've overlooked something.

Beth | 211 comments updated message #4 with free books I've acquired this year, not for the owned books challenge (they're not eligible) but just to keep track of)

message 7: by Beth (new)

Beth | 211 comments Started the year with 38 books, I now have 30 unread books! So I will add 500 points.

1470 (see message 1) + 500 = 1970
books read: 22

number of points divided by number of books: 22 = 89

Beth | 211 comments 2019: Read All the Books Challenge
I think I will just update this post as I go. But I had better do individual posts for the Owned Books Challenge, adding up the points in 1 post was getting unwieldy.

Beth | 211 comments So, I sort of abandoned this challenge back in 2019. I'm reviving this thread to keep track of my Short Fiction Challenge this year, having completed the Double Sneezy level in 2021 (i think this is the only challenge I completed this year)
