To this day, her answer hits me with it's clarity and simplicity.

This really struck me. Isn't that what we all really want deep down? To be acknowledged as valuable human beings based on who we are and what we do, rather than how we look? In a woman's life, that's a pretty big deal. We work so hard to be seen.
It's just the start of the book, but it already has me hooked.
