The Black Prism discussion

I'm an 8th grader /15yo/ and I think I'm currently near the end of book 2. I would have been ok with reading the series even 2 years ago. The 2 main problems here are violence, sex and profanity. Violence is no bother to me (I've watched the film franchise Saw twice). The sexual theme isn't something 85% of the 12-13 year-olds don't already know so Lightbringer is awesome to me. What are your opinions and to how many years-old person would you recommend the series?
