Hi there, thanks for setting this up! I am quite interested in science-y books, but one a week sounds slightly daunting to me. Maybe for the first book at least we could take a little more time.. Cheers!
I agree with Elizabeth, I think that we should start a little slower, maybe one book every two weeks, and then go from there if that isn't enough. Just a suggestion. Thanks for setting it up!!
Agreed, I'm an avid science reader but I do like to read my share of other genres. One every two weeks would be good to start. I can't wait to see what this group has to offer! Thanks.
To throw out a kind of light yet still science-y book idea, King Solomons Ring by Konrad Lorenz is something Marple recommended. didnt get around to reading it in college, but its very good for behaviour.
Cool, every two weeks it is.

Yeah, I didn't get to read that either, but I'd really like to. I'll add it to the book shelves for future reading

How does one book a fortnight sound? Or would one a week be better than one every two weeks? I'll put up a poll for us to choose between two books to start us off, I think two is enough for now seeing as there aren't that many of us yet.
I'm loving the representation of different sciences in the book suggestions, evolution and string theory rubbing shoulders, lol.
*edit - Here's the poll
