I just finished this play and I spent the whole time rooting for Georgie. She spends the whole book gaining agency for herself and calling out bullshit on the problematic behaviors of the men in the play, but the ending just felt gross to me.

Any thoughts?

How might one reconcile a happy romantic ending to a play that feels like it's about female independence?
