During two months Delisle was in North Korea to liaise on work on an animated film. This graphic novel is his diary of encounters with the side of the country a foreigner is allowed to see. His tongue in cheek recounting (which seems to be hit and miss looking at other reviews) gives a flavor of what life is in this country, but his encounters remain superficial, thus the story lack depth and and connection, remaining a bit of a caricature.

Every time I see this title, I read it as PyeongChang. I think I have been watching too much Olympics!
