I was a huge fan of Exit West and so I was really looking forward to reading The Reluctant Fundandamentalist. It didn't disappoint. I read it too long ago to remember specifics, and I can't recall why I gave it a four rather than a five!! I really enjoyed the unique narrative structure, the way that the narrator speaks to a unnamed person over a meal in a street cafe in Lahore. What unfurls is a failed relationship with an American girl, and eventually a failed relationship with America itself. It is a very interesting exploration of what it might be like to be a Muslim living in a post 9/11 world. I'm looking forward to reading whatever he has to offer in the future.

Ummmm...I just made the connection that this is the same author as Exit West! (eye roll at myself). This definitely bumps it up on my list!
Based on everyone's praise, I bet I'll like it. Yet another book added to the TBR. I really liked Exit West, so should give this one a shot!
