I loved this book. It is graphic, and brutal, and violent, and vividly descriptive to the point of being disturbing at times, but I thought it was fabulous. It is definitely not for everyone. If you find it difficult to read about childhood sexual abuse then I suggest that you give it a miss. For me I found it to be raw and real and moving. I couldn't put it down and it has stayed on my mind.

My close IRL friend highly recommended this one. She couldn't say enough about the writing.

Nope nope nope. I have heard the writing is great, but I also heard it is full of sexual abuse. Can’t do it... but glad you liked it!
Added to my TBR. Although I'm not sure if I can take a character named "Turtle" seriously.
She’s nothing but serious so you’ll be ok with it. Promise!
I listened to a little of this and returned it. I couldn't handle the father. And we all know, I can handle a lot.
I think it would be overwhelming in audio.
