I take it this one needs to be non-fiction, or can it be of a fictional sports figure? Regardless, I love the topic! Hmmm, what to read, what to read?
ooh not sure what to read, I'll have to see what others post, this is definitely outside my comfort zone.
I think I'll read Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game, but I am very interested in additional suggestions.
would a biography/memoir of a sports writer qualify for this challenge? My husband told me this book is one he thought was excellent The Fifth Season: Tales of My Life in Baseball.
Sportsball is definitely *not* my territory, and I can't promise to read anything for this challenge, but In My Skin: My Life On and Off the Basketball Court looks really interesting, and I could definitely be a great out-of-my-normal-comfort-zone read for women's herstory month ;)
I read Wilma Rudolph by Victoria Sherrow. This is a children's biography of the famed 1960 Olympic Gold medalist for running who had polio as a child and her brave struggle to not only walk without a brace, but to run.
Donna,
I think that's fine.
Wow you guys, how did March move so quickly! Can you believe it's the middle of the month already? I love that so many of you guys have finished already. Keep it up!

Still waiting for my challenge book from the library!
But I have other books to keep me company until it arrives.
I read Daredevil :The Daring Life of Betty Skelton
. Born in 1926, she was an airplane stunt pilot, racecar driver, and trained to be the first woman in space.
I read Eleven Rings: The Soul of Success by Phil Jackson. Phil Jackson was a coach in the NBA during my teenage and young adult years.
I had grand dreams of finishing a adult-sized book about Jesse Owens, but this month has gotten away from me. I did, however, just read "Mickey Mantle: The Commerce Comet" (by Jonah Winter) to my older kiddos.
Teresa is our prize drawing winner for March 2018’s reading challenge. She read Daredevil: The Daring Life of Betty Skelton by Meghan Mccarthy.

To honor the 2018 Winter Paralympic Games, on between March 8 and March 18, your challenge is to read a biography or memoir of a sports figure. For example, Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family, and Fighting to Get Back on the Board or QB: My Life Behind the Spiral.
Have fun!
