Description: "Georgie McCool knows her marriage is in trouble. That it’s been in trouble for a long time. She still loves her husband, Neal, and Neal still loves her, deeply — but that almost seems besides the point now.

Maybe that was always besides the point.

Two days before they’re supposed to visit Neal’s family in Omaha for Christmas, Georgie tells Neal that she can’t go. She’s a TV writer, and something’s come up on her show; she has to stay in Los Angeles. She knows that Neal will be upset with her — Neal is always a little upset with Georgie — but she doesn’t expect to him to pack up the kids and go home without her.

When her husband and the kids leave for the airport, Georgie wonders if she’s finally done it. If she’s ruined everything.

That night, Georgie discovers a way to communicate with Neal in the past. It’s not time travel, not exactly, but she feels like she’s been given an opportunity to fix her marriage before it starts . . .

Is that what she’s supposed to do?

Or would Georgie and Neal be better off if their marriage never happened? "

I just had to check the "genre" to see if it was Fantasy because I'm SOOOOO confused..

Well, I really like this so far. Seth kind of annoys me, but I think it's only excuse Georgia thinks about him all the time. I'm excited to see how the story unfolds now that she's started her strange phone calls!

Chapter 7
(view spoiler)[Frustrating how the 'future' Neal doesn't ever pick up her call! Since she heard his dad on the landline, she'll be figuring out that she's talking to the 'past' him. This book is getting more interesting (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 34: (view spoiler)[So I've really liked this so far, I love seeing the flashbacks Georgie has had with Neal that show the evolution of their relationship. At this point, I sort of feel bad for Seth because he does love Georgie--they've been BFFs sharing a dream for like 20 years and the stress and stuff that she's been having is not just having an effect on her, but everyone around her as well.

I like that the tables have turned and she's about to go do the romantic gesture to Neal in Omaha. This book has been kind of predictable, but I think that's ok, because it's written well and I've enjoyed it! (hide spoiler)]

I think he seems like the sort of type to try to force her into realizing that she needs him in her life by not being there, and I think Rainbow Rowell really gets how to make the reader feel the tension and heartache during all the points of the story! (view spoiler)[I liked this a lot overall. The tiny twist with Neal saying his mom got rid of the landline years ago was funny and cute and gave the whole thing a more magical and mysterious quality.

I really liked the way the characters were written. The relationships and worries were really realistic and relatable. The writing makes the reader feel what the characters are feeling, and I think that helps get me into the story better. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ok I thought Georgie was able to talk to the past Neal only through her old style phone but apparently her mum joined the convo! Since he told her before he wasn't ever going back to Dawn can she rest easy now that the kids and Neal are living next door to Dawn?? (hide spoiler)]

So it looks like they really loved each other and Neal always thought marrying Georgie was 'right'. I just started it, I loved Rowell's Fangirl and I have really high expectations on this one. So far, it't looking good! :)

I loved it!! This author has something about her that makes me fall in love with her characters... I literally couldn't put the book down and kept reading all night until I finished it!

(view spoiler)[I'm so happy that Georgie managed to work it out and start paying more attention to her family and husband. I was worried that her pictures and her daughters were going to disappear like in Back to the future. It was beautiful to see how 15 years back Neil drove all day to be with Georgie for Christmas (and propose to her) and now she's the one crossing the country to be with him (and committing herself to him). I'm so relieved that he didn't think it was too late <3

Definitely bummed that the mistery of the landline was not solved, but that doesn't make the love story any worse. (hide spoiler)]

She is too in love with Neal and Seth is too much of a ladies man and, as he says, he doesn't really know what he wants, he just knows that he isn't happy and he thinks it could be possible that his relationship with Georgie should be different. But it's definitely not a good idea, Seth needs to get himself together by his own, without involving Georgie's feelings. (hide spoiler)]
