Cyberpunk discussion

I'm not sure how long this will last, but right now (2/28/18) Blade Runner (Final Cut) and The Matrix are streaming for free on Crackle:

I'm surprised how well the Matrix has held up in spite of the awfulness of the sequels. Blade Runner has as well despite the much-mocked "enhance" image sequence that makes someone adept in Photoshop like me just giggle.

Proof that just because "that's not how any of this works" doesn't stop old science-fiction from being good.

Yeah, I remember twitching at the green rotary dial-up phone in The Matrix. Why would they use such old tech? I completely missed the analogue versus digital thing. Which today is even more obscure.
