First up: finishing up
and
. Listening to
. Next on deck I need to figure out what book to read for Postal Book Club and get started on Booktopia authors - probably
,
, and
first.
I am reading The Dry. Not too far in yet but I've heard it is great. Also just finished 11/22/63 and loved it. IMO, one of Stephen King's best. I gave it five stars.
I am reading Force of Nature. I loved The Dry and this one is very good so far too. Also listening to Righteous.
Hoping to make a dent in my 'Currently Reading' shelf. One book on the go actively is
Nostalgia About Comics.
Just finished White HousesReading The Little Red Chairs

Late to the party but just finished listening to the audio version of Life After Life by Kate Atkinson. Fantatic! See my review (how does one link that?)

Julie, is your review on a blog or is it on your Good Reads account?

Yep! According to the front of the book, this is not her first book.
She IS the editor of the New York Times Book Review.

So Linda, were you going to explain the linky-thing? I’m trying to link my review to a post in this thread on BOTN group! (Thanks for liking my review, btw)

IF I knew how, Julie, I would, but I don't know how to link your Good Reads review to this thread. You could try to copy the URL and paste it here. If it was on your blog that method would work. Try it and see what happens. If it doesn't work, you can delete it.
My other thought is that I receive a list everyday of which books my Good Reads friends have added or edit. So, if you are my friend and write a review, I will see your review in my daily update. That's the way I usually see the reviews my friends write. (And many just give star ratings.)

1. Go to the book2. Click on see review
3. when your review comes up highlight the URL in blue and then copy.
4 Paste on your post
5. Voila your review is now linked (I hope).
By the way you don't have to friends with a person. Somewhere on their profile is a follow reviews button. Just click on that.
C. John's response is the easiest way to link a review. You can also use GR's HTML's codes listed here and then your link looks like this:

Thanks everyone! Sometimes I use GR on my I-phone, other times on the Mac laptop. Your suggestions are helpful. Have fun at Booktopia, those of you going. SOME YEAR . . !

I just finished a book called Blood's Echo by a debut author that I think has a lot of promise. If you like suspense and you're looking for something a bit different, check out my review.....https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

An American Marriage and I just got an ARC of The Optimistic Decade which is one of the Booktopia books.
I am starting the newest Val McDermid bookInsidious Intent. Next up is I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer. The snow day we had yesterday was great for my reading. I finished A Far Cry from Kensington in one day. For my audiobooks in my work commute i just finished Crimson Lake from Australian author Candice Fox. Good story and narration.
Finally finished a book! What! After months I finished The Great Train Robbery. This is a fine story with a disappointing end but I have had it on my shelf for years and I just decided to read it. The ending is disappointing because it failed to tell me what happened to the main characters. Just a brief paragraph and done. I started with the actual paper book and finished it on a fire tablet. A good three out of five stars for an exciting story.

Congratulations, Gerald. I've "listened" to your reading woes and know that you've wanted to cross this hurdle. Onward!

I am reading I'M HALF SICK OF SHADOWS by Alan Bradley. My favorite eleven year old detective to read. Bradley includes history along with the wonderful Flavia and if I want to listen I get the wonderful Jane Entwistle (sp).
I'm (happily) juggling too many library books out at once, so keep having to shuffle around based on what's due soonest and what I can still renew. I've just started The Immortalists and also The Queen of Hearts, which I was initially drawn to on the new book rack by its gorgeous cover and then hooked by the inner flap's description of its contents.
