Actually, I guess that also depends on what kind of edit you envision. If it's just sentence-level copyediting, it's unlikely to affect what goes in the synopsis. But if you're still considering substantive edits that would change the narrative or structure, then you may have to do some redundant work in revising the synopsis.
I should probably admit, though, that I don't always do things in a logical order, so my advice may be of minimal value.


I just wrote my first synopsis, and I found it very hard to do! I think I did a good job on it. I was wondering if it would be better to write it after my first draft is written, or after I have my edits done?
