Hopefully yeah, I admit I have been a bit too busy to join in much, I'm doing too many nerdfightery things!
I'm really enjoying this one so far. She is so engaging! I hope everybody else is having as much fun with it as I am.

I only got it yesterday so only just started! Read about 10% of it and yeah, great read, got dark REAL fast though

What did everyone think of the book? I loved this one. Although they never specifically said, I found myself thinking she might be on the autistic spectrum. Or perhaps her symptoms were more a result of early trauma. Or maybe both. Since I have a nephew on the spectrum I kept going back to that. It was wonderful to see her opening up and expanding her little world as the story unfolded.
I'm actually being a bit slack and haven't finished it yet, I'll be back in a couple of days with thoughts! Loving it so far though
I didn't really like Eleanor in the beginning. She seemed really arrogant. But it was all her mom's fault. She was raised to think herself better.
It got me thinking how much of behaviour is shaped by our parents.
I am most struck by this quote:"The problem was that I simply didn’t know how to make it right. Mummy’s way was wrong, I knew that. But no one had ever shown me the right way to live a life, and although I’d tried my best over the years, I simply didn’t know how to make things better. I could not solve the puzzle of me."
I think she is a great person for making such progress.
