Section 1

Please do not discuss events from later sections/books. Referring back to events from a previous book is fine.

I've read the first adapter and although I'm not connecting it well to the the world of the first book, I like the main character so far.

Yeah, I wasn't really expecting completely different characters.

This is such a weird world. like last time, I have no clue what's going on.

I've been really slow at reading this one. I only just finished the first section today.

I knew coming in about the different characters, so I've been apprehensive. I think he's alright, but I guess I'm a bit disappointed he's not a craftsman.

Are the Wardens in this book, the same ones we saw in the last book? Or were those called something else?

I'm terrible at names, so I forget what they were called. They replaced the Gargoyles as protectors of that city. I think this is maybe a different city though as well? I'm not really sure. If so, I'd guess they aren't the same thing.

I think they aren't the same thing. The world is different enough that it doesn't feel like a sequel to me. I do miss the gargoyles.

It's been a slow read for me too - I think the pages are dense, if that makes sense - or maybe I'm dense =)

I think the idea of roof running is well described/interesting. That is my favorite part so far.

Yeah, the roof running thing is interesting. I'm curious to know more about this mysterious woman who looks to be setup for the crime(s).
