What's irritating is for "non-liberal" views, this may feel like what they claim it is, but it isn't. Have only skimmed the article, but the decline is Trump's FB engagement isn't a symptom of liberal views, it's a symptom of cleaning up fake news proliferation. Although it's quite interesting that shifting the algorithm's focus from public pages to friend's posts managed that, of course that isn't what was highlighted. Heading couldn't be "...Declined by 45 Percent When Friend's Posts Given Priority Over Pages", or something like insinuating.I do feel that alt-right has extended their attack on confidence from media sources to online companies that have been forced to consider huge algorithm gaps in their codes that have been exploited. I do not feel there's a solution here except to continue forcing programmers to really look at ramifications of poorly designed business logic, hopefully before it becomes a problem.
