The walls around us was a book written by Nova ren suma it is a fiction book. It has 319 pages plus not counting the acknowledgement part also this book doesn’t have any awards. Also the book is written in a formal style because it doesn't have any real facts it is just a story that is entertaining. The author has written other books but they don't have any awards yet just like this one but the book is entertaining in my opinion. The book is hard and easy to read in ways because it doesn’t have complex words, but sometimes it's hard to understand what it is trying to explain. For example it is divided into sections like into five parts and it is hard to understand who is talking what character is giving their point of view and how they see things. The walls around is set in the past they talk about what happened three years ago and what they did. Violet, Orianna sperling, and Amber are the three main characters of the story they all have a section where they talk about their point of view. Other characters that were talked about were Peaches, Miles, and D’amour but they didn't have big parts except Miles he kind of did. The book is based in the world we live in now and the characters act in a way someone real would act like blaming others for their mistakes and going to jail for reasonable stuff. The book is written in a way that I can picture it in my head as a movie. The book is about Violet and Oriana they were best friends they took ballet class together but went to separate schools although Oriana basically lived with Violet. There were two girls that bother Violet a lot to apoint where she said that she wants to stab them to death but the one that ended going to Aurora hills detention center was Oriana but she didn't think ever of doing something like that but Violet knew what she had done but she didn’t regret doing anything. One day the news got to Violet that 46 girls had ll killed themselves by poisoning themselves and Violet never went to visit Ori once. Ori always looked at the things the positive way and even when she was in those dark walls in the detention center she was still happy and full of color. My favorite character from the book was Oriana because she always tried to look at the positive thing instead of the negative and tried to solve her friends problems or people she cared about. Some of the themes where friendships, evil, and human weakness because the friendship between orion and Violet and then between oriana and Amber. Also evil because of what some of the characters did that lead to the climax of the book and human weakness because when you know there is going to be a consequence for what you did you always try to take it off you. Some of the parts I stayed thinking about because I thought how could they have done that to each other if they were like sisters and some parts got me angry. The book felt complete like nothing was missing and I understood everything about it. The walls around us is my new favorite book i could barely put it down I wanted to keep reading it and didn't want to put it down sometimes. I liked how she explained everything in detail so you could have pictures in your mind about what was happening and how some characters felt. I would rate this book a five and would recommend others to read it too I look forward to reading more of her books.
