The Husband's Secret is not actually my LEAST favorite book, but it's one I recently gave up on. I do not think that the people who like it are idiots, but they are people who love above all else a plot line that hooks the reader from the outset, which this book does. A captivating plot was not enough to keep me reading, and I agreed more with the negative reviewers, who point out that the characters are flat. This book felt manipulative to me because it hooks the reader without providing much else of real substance. The writer didn't have enough insight into life to make me want to listen to her.

I haven't read this book, but I heard it was good! Based on grace's review, I'll give it a try and see if my experience is similar.

I thought Tom Swayer was a pretty boring book, but I enjoyed it for the most part. If you like the older timed books this is a good book to read.

I had actually read an excerpt from tom sawyer and it was funny how he always tricked the kids into doing things for him but there was never a good moral behind it.

That book wasn't my favorite either. Most of the vocabulary was hard to understand because it was written so differently especially at the 6th grade level.
