My nomination is Justice, Volume 1While this is only the first chapter of the 3-part Justice League epic, it successfully sets up a story of catastrophic proportions.
Penned by Jim Kreuger the story follows the reimagining of an already established Justice League's first encounter with seedy and secretive criminal organization that they learn consists of some of their greatest foes...
It's Super Friends on steroids and it's brought to life (even in static panels) by the immense work of Alex Ross.
But again, this is only volume one, and I will warn you (since I only thought there was one volume the first time I purchased it) it WILL leave you wanting more...which there is!
My nomination is The Invisibles, Volume 1: Say You Want a Revolution, possibly Grant Morrison's greatest work, and has influenced other creators in comics, movies and television.
Well, my first thought was Doom Patrol, Vol. 1: Crawling from the Wreckage, but I already see some Grant Morrison suggestions. So, I nominate Michel Fiffe's brilliant Suicide Squad homage, Copra: Round One.
Mike wrote: "Even though I JUST read this: Planetary, Volume 1: All Over the World and Other Stories"Planetary always warrants a re-read.

This month's theme is "features a team or group of main characters."
Titles nominated this month must feature a team or group of main characters. If you have any questions or concerns, please send a message to mod Kate, who is happy to help. You can find the complete 2018 theme calendar here.
Remember:
- Nominated titles must be TPB comics or original graphic novels.
- Only the first volume of a series may be nominated, unless the group has already read the previous volume(s) as a book of the month. To see what we've read, check out our group's bookshelf.
- Nominated titles cannot have the same writer as the previous month's BotM winner. This month, that's Kelly Sue DeConnick.
- Nominated titles must fit the month's theme. To see past and upcoming themes, check out the 2018 theme calendar.
- Only one nomination per person.
- You can "second" a nomination in place of nominating a different book, but this will count as your nomination for the month. Seconded books will receive an additional chance of being selected in the randomization process.
- If a title you nominate wins BotM, please refrain from nominating another title for one month to give others a chance.
