Gabi | 46 comments Chris mentioned somewhere in the book, that he and Mark wrote a song together, and it's about Alex, their son. And I keep thinking about it.

The other day I was listening to the radio (yeah I still do that sometimes, don't laugh), and they played Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis. And I just can't get it out of my head. I'm 100% sure it's not it, cause the lyrics just doesn't fit, not what I had in mind about losing someone, and this song came out in 2007, I checked, and I'm pretty sure, they haven't even met yet. XD

Any other ideas, I'm so curious. :o

Xia and the Giant TBR | 16 comments I personally don't care much about that one because it would kind of tell us who Chris is in real life, and he doesn't want that.
I like to imagine it's this one, even if we know Hozier was the writer and composer:

-> but this one "You're as Ugly (as a Rhinoceros)" - can't wait to hear it!!

Gabi | 46 comments Oh, I'm just speculating here, for fun. 😉 I don't actually want to know there identities. I like the mystery. 😀

That sounds too fun ;) I'm in. Maybe Chris wants to join us as well to throw in clues.

(Fake clues, Chris, fake! Don't give me real clues, I work in investigations, lol)

I neither confirm nor deny that the wine bottle i purchased this evening is empty. *hic*

annob [on hiatus] (annob) | 27 comments I knew it ;D

Gabi | 46 comments ;D In my defense, I was half asleep when I commented, from my phone. But I did get up and turned on my computer, when I caught that typo. I couldn't bear the sight of it. LoL

Gabi | 46 comments I never saw the clip of this song before. ;( ;O

Xia and the Giant TBR | 16 comments Gabriella wrote: "I never saw the clip of this song before. ;( ;O"

Hozier's clip? I know, right? Dark but beautiful.

Look at this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtnJU...
This is my favorite.

Gabi | 46 comments Wow! Nice! In the end they created a flower with the colors.:D

And this is my fave, always makes me cry, the song in itself, and the clip too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsVXn...

But we're going off topic here. Haha! :D

Gah, you guys are killing me with these songs. The acrobat video was so beautiful it actually made me tear up. Not fair on a Saturday morning...

Hahaha. It was not Leona Lewis popular. Let's just say that for now.

Hmm... a song clue? Like a treasure hunt? How about one of my favorite songs... I don't think I mentioned it in my writing.

How do you make a song clue? lol.

"On this late winter morning, in a terraced garden, flying beaked animals were calling your info from a birth certificate."

Hahaha. I guess you also probably know I'd rock out to just about any artist from Lillith Fair from the late nineties.

That should be impossible!

Also, thanks for this feed! Made my day. :) And I'm a total hipster... I heard that Hozier song probably a year before you did. :P At least six months!

Gabi | 46 comments And now I feel like a true Millenial. Who's Lillith Fair? Jeez, Cheese! :D I'll check it out.
I don't remember much about the nineties, I was just a little kid. Not that you're so much older than me. :) But I remember shaking it to whatever was on radio. Probably N'sync, Britney, and definitely Michael Jackson, and Destiny's child. ;D

Hmm, that clue didn't help, at all! :D

Xia and the Giant TBR | 16 comments Going for a try on the artist: Sarah McLachlan ?

Had no idea what Lillith Fair was this morning. Guess who owns a couple of albums now, ey?

Gabi | 46 comments "In the arms of the angel
Fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here"

Chris is the angel in green shirt. :)

Haha! You guys are crazy. (And making me feel old...)

Here's the giveaway hint. She also sang this song:
https://youtu.be/Lt6r-k9Bk6o?t=34

But my favorite song of hers starts with her thinking about a memory of spring time. ;)

Ps: We're reworking that song for Alex by using the older song as inspiration. A couple lyrics are similar to ones that were removed by the original recording artist, including "it's just us here". Our new song is going to be called "It's Just Us Here". Which is kind of why the whole story is called what it is... so there's no pressure on making that song a good one, is there?

😂😂😂
Melissa Etheridge- I Need To Wake Up?
Alas, I give up, I thought I had the singer and the song yesterday but Chris just threw a wrench in the "system"😂😂😂

annob [on hiatus] (annob) | 27 comments Sophie B. Hawkins, now that was a flashback to my twenty-something years I wasn't expecting. :)
It felt like spring time on this February morning
In the courtyard birds were singing your praise

Lyrics from the song "As I Lay Me Down". Flying beaked animals =birds, terraced garden =courtyard. But the hint about birth certificate I can't figure out how it fits... But that could be down to the fact I live in a country that scrapped such documents 100 years ago, so I don't have many associations to tie to the word. Symbolism of becoming a parent?

Xia and the Giant TBR | 16 comments We may have a winner :D
Drum roll for Chris....

Winner, winner!

In a courtyard birds were singing your name... That's how I always remembered it. My bad on the 'clue'.

Yeah, talk about a blast from the past. I think my favorite of those artists is Natalie Merchant, but As I Lay Me Down will always have a special place in my heart. ;)

In other news, I did a final edit on the first Ending today, probably the longest. 36,580 words. One down and nine to go!

Also, Xia, I thought it would take a few months before one of my readers was an investigator... not one of the first three!

annob [on hiatus] (annob) | 27 comments I think I'd feel safer to trust a professional investigator with my personal details than the average person. Simply due to the fact they wouldn't be in their profession for long if they couldn't keep secrets. :)

And yay! Happy to hear writing and editing new material is making great progress! I feel about as patient as a four-year-old right about now though... Is it NOW yet? ;D

Xia and the Giant TBR | 16 comments annob wrote: "Simply due to the fact they wouldn't be in their profession for long if they couldn't keep secrets. :)"

So true, Annob! O.O I think I've signed my weight in NDAs in the last 10 years.
No worries, Chris, you're safe ;) I'm a fraud investigation auditor, not the CIA, lol

annob wrote: "I feel about as patient as a four-year-old right about now though... Is it NOW yet? ;D "

I share Annob's feelings. August couldn't come faster! It was August, right? No pressure, though. :)

Wow. I've signed a few over the years, but compared to you I'm featherweight. Aaaaaaand I realise I've just gone awfully off topic. Back to the song! I can't even imagine the word 'Rhinoceros' being sung. I can only pronounce it if I close my eyes and word it out rather than read it out.

And did you know I've seen a wild one in real life! And no, it didn't resemble the book cover drawing of Mark. Much. ;)

Gabi | 46 comments Mark, the Rhino! ;D
There's this guy on Instagram, his photos just keep popping up on my feed, and he looks like how I imagine Mark. Tall, blond, and confident as hell, and so laid-back. Wish I could have a fraction of that.

annob [on hiatus] (annob) | 27 comments Instagram is the best for thirst pics! ;D But no, the rhino I spotted wasn't blond... sorry to disappoint. ;P

It is officially NOW! Haha.

Don't believe everything you see on Instagram. You have no idea how many pictures I've had to take over and over again. lol.

Gabi | 46 comments I bet only the left side of Mark's face looks good! And you had to crouch down while taking photos, so he'd look even taller. XD
