From the Book to the Big Screen discussion

Talk about the book, t.v. show, and anything about the Game of Thrones.

Why is this so popular? I've read the four books. I won't be reading anymore. The author kills everybody of consequence, so why bother getting attached to a character. you never know who he's going to off next. I swear he's worse than the mafia.

I haven't read any of the books, but I really want to.

I have watched all of the seasons of GOT but I have not read the books. I love the show even when they killed most of the characters. (Some I wanted dead) I wonder if reading the books will ruin the show for me?

I actually read the first book and I must say that there is a lot of death and it makes me wonder what this author thinks about
