Snigdha Agarwal | 3 comments Plot: Lonely quiet girl has a father who is distant from her. After she buys a parrot for company , her father starts hating her. Later revealed that is because she reminds him of the girl he accidentally killed in Vietnam(she also had a parrot.). Meanwhile a boy at school(possibly named Josh) starts liking her and tries to befriend her. In the end, when father finally snaps and tries to kill his own daughter , to run away from his past ghosts, the boy saves her.
I probably read it in 2006 or 2007.
