Lala, who is a fifteen year-old high school girl, who gets a friend request by a person called Christian on Facebook. She never knew him, but according to his status, he is apparently in her school. She accepts his request, but that is where this tragedy begins.
They are chatting on Facebook, and Lala begins to have a bit of a crush on him. She takes over the computer, which is supposed to be shared by her and her sister, and keeps chatting with him. He finally talks about a dance party that is going to be held in school, and she expects him to ask her for a date. However, she will never be asked. That is because the incident happens.
“He says: You're an awful person.
He says: What makes you think I would ever ask you out?
He says: The world would be a better place without you in it.”
Christian posts awful comments on Facebook. They are posted on her Facebook page, which everyone can see and “like”. Lala experienced a heartbreak and mental breakdown because of it, and she attemps to kill herself. It is how this story started; the details of how it happened is going revealed later.

If you read the summary on this book’s cover, you might think that this whole story is about Lala, but it actually is not. The author involves other people’s stories, families who are involved this incident. Lala’s sister Sydney is also a key character in this book. She struggles with how her life is messed up all the time because of the sister’s “drama.” Sydney understands that Lala had been bullied before and had an unstable mental state. Sydney wants to be good to Lala, but Lala’s tragedies always affected Sydney’s life in a bad way. I could totally relate to her struggle because those kinds of things happen sometimes if you have siblings. Even though my life is not as dramatic as Sydney’s, I can still find something in my real life that relates to this story. Also, this story takes place in high school, so it was easy for me to understand many things happening in their lives. I personally really liked this book because the story had a good plot, and I could connect with many experiences.
