What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I am looking for a elementary/juvenile book from the early 1990s. I remember getting it from the Scholastic mail-in order and/or book fair in 1992/1993 when I was in 5th or 6th grade. It have been published sometime in the 1980s. It has a light blue cover and perhaps a picture of a diary on the front cover and/or back cover. The only thing I can remember is the main character was teased for misspelling the word diary. He kept spelling it as Dairy. Thanks in advance!

The Burning Questions of Bingo Brown by Betsy Byars? I remember in the book that the teacher made the class write journals. Bingo saw that one of the girls he likes wrote "Dear Dairy." He corrected her, and then the class started laughing.
