I'm looking to read a book on Sarah and Gerald Murphy. Should I read Everybody Was So Young: Gerald and Sara Murphy: A Lost Generation Love Story by Amanda Vaill or Living Well Is the Best Revenge by Calvin Tomkins? Thanks.

As a group we read the Vaill book - check out the archives. But years ago I also read the Tomkins book and enjoyed it. I think there was probably more/fresher research open to Vaill. Tomkins wrote his book in the '70s. I read it while recovering from an automobile accident.
Hi NaviedThere's a "search discussion posts" box on the right hand side ->
You can use that to find out what we've already discussed here at BYT.
It's probably better to add to an existing thread if you have a question, and only set up a new one if there's no existing thread.
Here's the discussion about Everybody Was So Young: Gerald and Sara Murphy: A Lost Generation Love Story...

NigeyB is right...there are some fabulous older threads in our archives so it's a great idea to do some searches and digging about... Any old thread can be reopened with a new comment - I'm sure loads of our members will join in too. Of course don't let that stop you from opening a new thread if you can't find what you're looking for. Our Chit Chat section is made for just this type of question.
