Parents of Tweens (9-14) discussion

I have a kiddo looking for books (fiction) featuring lgbt characters. There are a couple of resources I have found online but I am wondering if anyone here has come across any good ones. Thanks!

I have heard good things about George. What age? I know a few for high school aged readers.
