NZ Intermediate School Librarians discussion

An older woman recounts her experiences in France during the Second World War. She was a gypsy child, and was friends with an autistic boy. The message (if there is one) is that there is a mixture of good and bad in all people. Themes of conservation, kindness, importance of family, friends and hope. A slow story, but very atmospheric.
