I really enjoy many of James Patterson's books. I really like his PRIVATE series. I would recommend those. I did listen to the unabridged version of Along Came a Spider. Can't say it was my favorite.

Dlyn just got Private LA on audiobook. It is fast-paced as they all are, and involves the kidnapping of a famous Hollywood couple with another plot where a group is killing people in groups. Hard to explain without giving away content. I've been off for two days and so I haven't done any driving to listen to it. I guess it is a good thing I have to go to work tomorrow so I can hear more.
Private La was fast paced. Kinky stuff goes on in Hollywood and if something seems to be too good, it probably is. I was a little bit surprised that one big clue was not figured out by the folks at Private, the elite investigating firm, but I had it figured out as soon as it was mentioned. Had they figured it out it may have made putting 2 and 2 together a lot faster. But then that may have shortened the story and cut out some of the action. In another scene that may have in actuality only lasted a few minutes seemed to have lasted way too long without any action. Everyone seemed to stand around looking dumbfounded and doing nothing. As for the end, a type of justice was served and I could see why things ended as they did. However, I would have liked an eye for an eye kind of justice. Just so you know, I am not normally like that, but there were some pretty heinous things occurring in this story. Still, I did enjoy the tale. Now I need another audiobook for my rides to work. Any suggestions? Please, no romances.
