Now is the time to select our book for next quarter! Below are three options. You can comment to vote or you can message me if you would rather vote privately. I will announce the winner before the end of the quarter! (September 9 at the latest).

First up is Fuzzy Nation. John Scalzi is known for sci-fi that has a humorous edge. This book takes an Avatar-like setup (big company is destroying an alien planet for precious resources) and then adds a main character who only wants to look out for himself and a race of intelligent small, furry bipedal creatures. Will they be able to keep the company from wiping out the Fuzzies?

My Drunk Kitchen: A Guide to Eating, Drinking, and Going with Your Gut In this next option, internet sensation Hannah Hart offers up recipes, drink pairings, and life tips.

And finally we have JK Rowling's first non-Harry Potter book The Casual Vacancy This is a social drama set in a seemingly idyllic English town. But tensions come to the surface with the death of a parish council member.
