I have, and always will, love the gone series. I consider it one of my favorite series, along with the best. It's well written, great plot, great characters. But one thing I love about it is the ending. I think the series had a great ending. Not alot of book series have that, even with shorter series like trilogies. But the ending for the whole series, six whole books, I personally thought was amazing. Satisfying, and it didn't let you down at all. What I want to know, is what does everyone else think about the ending? Agree with me? Awesome! Don't agree with me, why?

Yeah, I liked the ending too. It wrapped everything up nicely. I don't think Brianna got the end she deserved, though.
I did enjoy the ending of the series, it was a nice wrap-up. But, not to be morbid or anything, I think it would have been interesting if Sam or Astrid had died. I enjoyed both of them as characters in the series, of course, but I think that while the ending was quite emotional already, either death would've had made it just the right amount of emotion. I almost couldn't believe that Sam and Astrid could just live on like that.

It was the kind of series that says, "These kids went through hell and came out the other side."

It really was a hellhole, and I'm glad kids were able to come out strong, including the main leaders. I guess that I thought in a book like this that a main protagonist leader would die (to show honor maybe or just for the twists of a sudden death, not that there weren't plenty of those already).
Well, I think Caine's end covered that. And his sacrifice was even more shocking. He got to redeem himself after being a villain through most of the series.

I didn't think he had it in him, but he proved me wrong. He really did redeem himself be shouldering all the blame.
