This is our discussion thread for our August 2018 BOM, Dark Space!

Start discussing whenever you would like, just remember there will very likely be spoilers here!

Trio | 670 comments I've owned this book for so long and never read it... here's the perfect chance :)

This was the exact reason I nominated it. Glad I'm not the only one! I can't wait to dive into it!

Trio | 670 comments oh boy, I've loaded it on my kindle, but still haven't started it

Next up for me is a long-ish graphic novel, and then this one!

Trio | 670 comments Great, I'm going on vacation in a few days plus I just had foot surgery so I'm expecting some free reading time in my future.

Oh dear! It's odd how something like surgery is at once terrible, and also good, because you get more reading time than you would otherwise have. I hope things go well for you! And that you enjoy everything you get to read!

Loretta (loris65) | 1545 comments This wasn't the book I thought it was. It is similar. Now I need to find that book!

I enjoyed this re-read as much as I did the first time. I can't imagine having some one in my head all the time, and feeling their emotions. I have enough trouble dealing with my own. But it also fascinates me.

I read the second book, too. I was good, too, but not as much as the first one.

Trio | 670 comments :) thanks Jordan!

I'm about 80% through it right now. I really like how she wrote about the mind reading. It was unique and seemed realistic.

This was the type of book where it could either be written very badly or really well, and I thought she did a good job. So far at least. lol.

I was going to ask if anyone had read the second book. I already own it, so I might go ahead and read it after this one.

Loretta (loris65) | 1545 comments It's a little repetitive. There is only so many times you can have Brady go on about his life being to good to be real and last. But I would recommend you read it right after. That way everything is fresh in your mind.

I really like Doc. He was a great side character.

I thought I would read it, and now that I've finished the first book, I can see where we don't really need a second book. I still might read it, but it will have to wait. I've got a few other things that are a must read for work.

How did you all feel about the ending?

I thought it was good, but I wanted more from Lucy. She'd been hyped up so much and then she only has a few words. Also I thought Brady should have asked her how she felt about this stranger suddenly in her life and taking care of her with him. That's a huge thing to thrust on a little girl without talking to her about it first.

Aside from that though, I really enjoyed this! I was amazed at the world building that really sunk me into the story.
