Has anyone started this book yet? If so, what is your first impression?

I've already finished it, I listened to the audiobook. I didn't want to spoil anything, so I was waiting on everyone else to start chiming in.

First impression, honestly, was that she was just trying too hard. It didn't feel/sound genuine. I was almost cringing through those first few chapters.

Y'all need to hurry up and get to the Roscoe part. I need to discuss that. LOL.

I just read the first few chapters and it seems like she is sitting next to me telling me the stories. It is a change from the style of writing that I am used to.

She was on a show and she was talking about the Roscoe story and it sounded funny. I can't wait to get to that part.

What do you think about how she got her start?

How do you think that the way she grew up impacted who she is? What career she chose?

What you think about what she did to Titus?

What did you think of her relationship with Bertha?
