Night walked toward the lake with Lacey.

He smiled, looking around. He sat down next to her.

He nodded. "Yeah..."

He smiled at her. "Just.... Wherever. In the woods, in a cave."

He followed her gaze to the floor. "What's wrong?"

He wondered. "You sure?" He was worried.

He nodded, watching her.

He nodded again. "Yeah....." He said quietly.

He smiled and walked over. Looking around the lake, and all the little fish inside.

He smiled at her. "How's it like to fly?"

He nodded, smiling. "I bet."

He smiled at her. "Would you like to race? I promise I won't use super speed...."

He shrugged. "Wherever you want.... And you can fly." He smiled.

He smiled back at her. "Ready?"

He nodded, smiled. He counted down three with his fingers.

Night ran and followed her, when she started flying he turned into a wolf, darting around the bordering trees.

He smiled and paused for a moment, still a wolf. Then started going even faster, reaching her.

He ran faster, passing her this time. Barking and wagging his tail happily.

He smiled at her as a dog, turning around three times and laid down, panting. He wagged his tail slowly, content. He had his head on his paws.

He shook his leg happily, wagging his tail faster now.

He smiled up at her, still a wolf.

He stayed silent and his tail stopped in mid air, hearing them too.

He slowly got up, there was a new smell in the air. It wasn't new though, it was familiar. But it had just got there. He barred what fangs he had in a snarl.

He quietly ran toward her, his soft paws making him almost silent.

He barked toward the sound.... Maybe he should turn human...

He nodded quickly, turning human and surprisingly fully clothed. "Yeah.... Let's just go." He agreed.

He ran after her.
