Here's a book I just picked up from Half Price Books. I grabbed it and read a few of the sections.
The book is a collection of articles published on a history website by history buffs, researchers, and academics. The articles are 2-4 pages in length. In other words, the perfect length if you have 5-10 minutes to read and want to get a different perspective on things that you might not have thought about before.
The subjects covered seem to be all over the board... some are considerations of specific aspects of specific events, others seem to be very esoteric subjects that get over looked in the larger context of the war.
I can't say that I'd recommend this book (I've only read a couple of articles), but so far it looks promising.
