How is your progress towards 100 for August? By now, you should be up to 60 books. (I'm 3 books behind, but I have three in my currently-reading list, so if I could just finish those...)

Also: what was your favorite book of the summer?

Amber Brown (ambernevabrown) I'm at 77 books! Hooray for manga!

My favorite of the summer was Croak because it was funny, well-written, and creative.
However, I'm halfway through the Gracefully Grayson ARC via Netgalley, and I can already tell it will be my favorite. It's a very powerful read.

Alyssa (heresheisnow) | 15 comments I'm at 63, huzzah! I had to check out a pile of graphic novels to have any chance of saving my bacon. As for favorites of the summer...I've really enjoyed all of Scott Lynch's books, especially the ever so snappy and clever The Lies of Locke Lamora. I've also enjoyed getting into the comic/GN series Saga! It gets better and better with each new volume.

Susan | 2 comments I've finished 53 as of the end of July, but counting the first two weeks of August, I've read 59. I haven't read any graphic novels or manga this year, but it looks like I can pump out 20 of them in December if I'm having trouble getting to 100!

I've read some solid books this summer, but nothing's really blown me away recently. That being said, I was very pleasantly surprised by A Brief History of Time. And I've just started an ARC of Salt & Storm, which has me excited and hopeful!

I love that everyone's planning to use graphic novels to pad their numbers. xD

So far this year, I think I've enjoyed The String Diaries and Kindred the most, but I also deeply enjoyed my re-read of Anne of Green Gables. (Which everyone should read.)
