I'm a Hufflepuff. On Pottermore and also this quiz (http://www.thealmightyguru.com/Review...) which I think is pretty good as far as Sorting quizzes go.

Just took it, and still Slytherin:Your in-depth results are:
Slytherin - 17
Gryffindor - 12
Ravenclaw - 9
Hufflepuff - 4
I know what you mean! I could spend hours doing quizzes - not on purpose, it's just like watching related videos on YouTube and losing track of the time.

Yes! That's the quiz I was looking for! It's the first one I ever took. Thank you for posting the link, Sabrina!

I don't even need a quiz to tell me i'm Ravenclaw >_< I love school, love learning need things, love answering questions. Science and geometry is what I love!
I was placed in Ravenclaw! Anyone think Pottermore will ever give a sorting hat like test to find out what your patronus is?

I took a quiz, and it said mine is a stag. I don't really think that's right for me. lol

I hope so.

I have been looking for a good patrons quiz for the longest time with no luck. Having one on Pottermore would be amazing!
When I took the quiz, I had the choice between Slytherin and Hufflepuff. I chose Slytherin, and now I'm an avid Slytherin supporter :) Woot for house spirit!
You can probably tell by my profile pic, but I'm a Hufflepuff. Was sorted on Pottermore then took another quiz once and also got Hufflepuff, although I suspect that's because at the end of the quiz it asks for which house you would choose to be in and that's what I picked!
Before I was sorted I thought I'd be a Ravenclaw, but am now totally happy with the house I'm in. I tend to see the house you're in as something to aim for rather than something you are. Would make sense seeing as you're only eleven when you get sorted at Hogwarts. So I'm constantly trying to be more of a fair, loyal, hard working etc. kind of person.
Griffindor would be the house I think I'd be suited to least - it's the only one I don't see some of myself in.

I was surprised when I got sorted into Slytherin, but when I thought about it, it actually makes a lot of sense. I am extremely ambitious, and when I do make friends, they tend to be really solid, close friendships.
I can't stand all the Slytherin hate. Seriously, since when does setting high goals for yourself and working hard to achieve them make you evil? Plus, Severus Snape is my favorite Harry Potter character. Just sayin :)
I know, it is a shame that a lot of the time in the series Slytherin was portrayed as where all the 'bad' kids went. I always get offended when people summarize Slytherin as 'evil', even though I'm not in that house! Before my sister was sorted on Pottermore she always said she hoped she would be a Slytherin so that she could be a kind of defender of that house. She ended up in Ravenclaw in the end. ;)
Haha yeah, I am a serious defender of the Slytherin house! :) Although, I will say Hufflepuffs get dogged on a lot too, just in a different way. I mean, when you think about it, the only Hufflepuff really featured in the series was Cedric Diggory, and he died in the first book he was in.... sad, really
As much as I love Harry Potter(favorite novel series) I think it could've been better had the houses had different types of representatives. examples: What if Bellatrix had been Ravenclaw or Gryffindor? Or if Neville was Hufflepuff? Luna as Ravenclaw was awesome, but I would've liked more grey areas. And I reeeeally wanted a full on hero Slytherin, not what we got with a kind of, no so fully bad Snape.
I got sorted in Hufflepuff on Pottermore, and whenever I took random quizzes I would either get Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, which I think suits me fine. Maybe I could be a Slytherin too, but I don't have all the qualities that would make me one. Gryffindor is definitely not my house at all, though.
I agree, though Harry Potter was amazing, there was definitely some house biases going on. I wish more good Slytherins and brave Hufflepuffs would have been represented. And we only really got Luna from Ravenclaw, the rest were Griffindor...
I agree, we Hufflepuffs have had our fair share of being labeled as the 'dumb' kids. So untrue!
You make a great point Tommy (@ message 34), love where you're coming from! There is a really cool fanfiction I read a few months back called Dumbledore's Army and the Year of Darkness which is from Neville's POV, and is all about what happened at Hogwarts when Harry, Ron and Hermione were away looking for horcruxes. Anyway, that gives a cool fresh view on the different houses. Neville expresses the opinion that at first he wanted to be in Hufflepuff because it seemed less pressured than the rest of the houses and he always admired Hufflepuff's hard-working traits. There is also a sort of 'good guy' who's in Slytherin and it's just really awesome.
Also, here's some sortings to consider: Peter Pettigrew was a Griffindor. Marietta Edgecombe and Professor Quirrel were Ravenclaws. Nimfadora Tonks and Newt Scamander were Hufflepuffs. Andromeda Tonks was a Slitheryn. Obviously, lots of these characters are ones we don't know too much about, but I thought it was interesting :)

What about Cho Chang? :P She was Ravenclaw. I think she was somewhat different to how her house is perceived as well. I don't think she was overly arrogant, and she was definitely more emotional than people would consider Ravenclaws to be. This is all just in my opinion, of course.Padma Patil was also Ravenclaw, but I suppose we don't know much about her.
I never really took to Cho as a character. I don't know, she just annoyed me a little. I think I was put off by the fact that she seemed to think she had to date Harry to be able to talk to him about Cedric. Now that I think about it, maybe she wasn't the perfect fit for Ravenclaw but I can't really see her in any other house.
Ya, I never really warmed up to Cho though. I thought the kiss under the mistletoe was sweet, but there was something about her that I didn't really like.I forgot Tonks was a Hufflepuff. The only Hufflepuff that lasts more than one book lol
Tonks was a Hufflepuff, and she's super awesome, but I would've loved a super awesome Hufflepuff student. Would've even been kind of cool if Hermione and Ron were Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff respectively. Then by the last book a Slytherin kid could've joined up with them so the main hero team could've showcased the best of all 4 houses.I realize I sound ranty, so I need to add in that I LOVED Harry Potter haha.
That's sounds like a really cool concept Tommy! It would have been so cool to have inter-house unity within the main characters. Shame that didn't happen.
@K.J. There is Ernie from Hufflepuff, who I consider a mildly main character. I guess he's not in it as much as I imagine him to be!
BTW, I can never find out, what house is Hagrid in? In the books he's always made out to be a Griffindor, but I think his personality seems a little more Hufflepuff-like. What do you guys think?

Google says Hagrid was in Griffindor! That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure.Wow I don't remember Ernie at all..... I'm sad now :( Was he a part of the Order of the Phoenix or anything?
I was placed in Ravenclaw on Pottermore (an account I made just for the quiz, haha). I don't exactly think of myself as very smart, but I'm certainly glad to be in the fabulous Luna Lovegood's house ^_^

I always thought I'd be a Ravenclaw, but every quiz has me as a Gryffindor. I guess the brave parts of my past stayed with me.

So I know there are many Sorting Hat quizzes out there. In which house have you been placed?
I was placed in Gryffindor on Pottermore. I got the same result for a few other quizzes I took.
