A beautiful lake that reflects the sky.

Eva sat on a marble bench besides the lake, making glittering koi swim. She felt bored without her usual gaggle of admirers.

Cordelia was looking at the lake when she noticed Eva. Cordy walked over to the other girl, "Hello" Cordy said to the other girl hoping the girl would notice Cordy's presence. Cordy had spent most of her life not being noticed, but at Beauxbatons it was different. She was noticed, quite a lot which she found odd at first but she guessed it had to do with the fact that her mother is the Defense Against The Dark Arts Professor. Everyone had actually been wondering what happened to the previous DADA professor, nobody seemed willing to talk about it at all.

Eva glared at Cordy. "Who are you? And I hope you're a pureblood, because I don't associate with non-purebloods usually."

"Cordelia April-Irene-Debbie Pease, 5th yr, 15 yrs old. Pureblood daughter of Durmstrang Charms Professor Jamison Pease and Beauxbatons Professor Leandra Pease. Younger Sister of Durmstrang 6th year, Johnathan Pease. But you may call me Cordy. And you are? Never mind, let me guess. Your Princess Evangeline Vanderbilt of Monaco and England. Most of the students here are Purebloods, some complete idiot purebloods but purebloods none the less." Cordy said, she had heard about Eva and about Ethan Brown, but not about what he felt about Eva. It was strange, not being recognized. Most people recognized her, even by the tone of her voice she was recognizable. Nobody messed with her, usually. Except for the idiot purebloods who thought they could win her heart and failed every time.

"Hm. You're that girl. " was all Eva replied,"Decent enough, I suppose."

"If you think that is decent, how about shopping loving telling the truth to idiots loving girl and the girl who hates her own cousin? Yea, that is me. Love shopping and making a lot of fun of idiots, never of princesses. As for you, Eva, you look dashingly pretty as always." Cordy said to the other girl, even though it was hard having a brother at another school she didn't show it.

"Thank you." Eva said coolly, "I never imagined you'd talk this much."

"I do love to talk, much more than I love class actually." Cordy responded, she was enjoying this a lot, then added "So, what's it like having basically two homes and then a home away from home I guess you could call this that if you actually like it here otherwise Beauxbatons is just bleh, nothing much. It isn't much to me even if it were, it has no impact on anything but not being able to find a lot of cute guys."

"Droll." Eva said in a blasé tone,"We actually have to use Muggle technology- cars and jets! Of course, it's all enchanted. Muggles can't know their royal family are witches and wizards..."

"Of course not, but it must be fun sometimes being both royal and a witch" Cordy said after a long time, she had been thinking for a bit.

"Of course. Monaco does have a large magical population, as well as England." Eva adjusted her blue silk dress and pearls. "However, how did you stumblw upon Beauxbatons? "

"Actually from Paris. But my mom actually came from Luxemburg and she attended Here and of course she wanted to continue it partially on the girls side of the family, so she sent me. Durmstrang is the common school on the male side of my family. However, there is only one other person here at Beauxbatons from Monaco, Ethan Austin Brown. I don't know him that well, but he's pretty popular for Quidditch and a lot of other sports. His whole family is here, His Step-Dad Teaches Potions, His mom teaches Charms, and his sister Ally is a 4th yr. Mason is a 1st yr and Ethan himself is 6th yr. Ethan does love parties and a lot of other things that are awesome to someone such as yourself. He plays guitar, and of course people don't know much about my cousin, but she, yea let's not get into any conversations about Emily. She is the worst cousin I could have. However, back to Ethan. He loves planning, anything really. Games, parties, you name it he usually plans quite extravagant themes. And he loves talking to people. Word has it, Heather Mcgonagall is attending Beauxbatons and she is the worst person to have in Divination class. Do not ask me about Ethan's biological father, no one knows anything about the biological father. Basically Ethan's whole life he was growing up with a step-father. Unlike myself, I had to almost grow up with no grandparents, it's a long story I'd rather not talk about." Cordy said, looking at Eva and then out at the lake.

Eva nodded. "So, this Ethan guy..." she replied, "How old is he?"

"16 Years old, basically a month or so younger than you. His birthday is November 22nd 1999, which is understandable. However, I like to think 2000 is better than 1999, but it's a matter of opinion on which year is better. Though he is quite hot, not my type but hot. He's in my potions class, where his step-dad tries not to play favorites. My mom does the same when I am in her class, it is only fair a teacher try not to play favorites when their child is in the class." Cordy said, remembering she had Potions with him.

"Wait. His father is a professor?" Eva sneered,"That's....lame."

"Step-father. but Ethan's step-father also coaches Quidditch so not so lame there huh?" Cordy asked after a while.

"Quidditch. Interesting. I'll have to see him play." Eva decided.

"You could be playing against him, you are the female team captain after all and the seeker. Never know who the teams play against. Not under the teams' control. But if it were, you would probably pick the weakest team to play against." Cordelia responded to Eva.

"Of course. " Eva flipped her hair and smirked haughtily. "Very well. Nice seeing you, Cordy, is it?"

"Yep, Cordy. It's way easier to remember than Cordelia. Nice to meet you too Eva, see you around." Cordy responded.

A dark doe bowed her head to drink from the lake. It wasn't really a doe. Little did most people know, the deer, with its shiny black coat, was actually Mandy, a Beaxbatons student and an Animagus.

Lily walked along the edge of Olympe Lake, casually scanning the water. Suddenly she spotted a doe drinking from the lake. She smiled brightly and headed towards it slowly.

((Sorry it took so long. Managing another RP in Hogwarts with Elf, too, and it erased a long reply.))

Mandy tried to decide if she should flee or let the girl come near her. She recognized her as Lily, another Beaxbatons student. She saw the second year's sweet expression and decided that it would do no harm to let her sit near her, just as long as she didn't let on that she was actually an Animagus.

((Ah. I don't mind though. School is taxing))

She approached the doe with cautious steps, hoping it wouldn't run away. Lily reached the doe and carefully held out a hand to pet it.

Trying to be a friendly deer, as deer usually were, she bumped her head gently to the girl's hand. She played the part well.

((That's fine. Are we still doing our RP at the candy shop at Belleville with Carmen and Oliver and Idelle?))

((Yes please))

Lily smiled with delight. "Aww...you're so sweet," She murmured. She wished people were more like deer.

((Well, my deer is a person, so... :P))

Mandy sat down in a way she hoped didn't look peculiar for a deer. Then again, she was already quite a strange deer. Her coat was the exact same color as her hair, jet black, and she liked people. Although no one would ever really guess that the deer in their presence was the exact same girl that they sometimes attended classes with.

Lily had never seen a deer sit down before, but then again, how many deer had she actually seen? "You're gorgeous. It's a good thing there aren't any hunters around here." She said with a small smile.

Hunters were always a big concern for her, which was part of the reason she didn't leave campus. She bumped her hand with her nose again and attempted to make another one of the braying noises that deer made. To her horror, it came out sounding a tad human.

Fortunately, Lily didn't notice. She did notice, however, the time, from the Beauxbaton Palace clock tower. "Oh!" She gasped. "I have to go. Bye!" She gave a little wave to the deer, and then shot off towards her class.

Relieved after Lily left, Mandy shifted back to her human form, knowing she wouldn't be a deer again for another month.
