I do love Kindle Unlimited is my virtual library, but I love reading and books in any form, sometimes I read in my kindle, mostly in Audiobooks and Actual books, I just love reading no matter the form that comes in.
Hello! I purchase most all of my ebooks (some are gifted to me). Paperbacks I get from my local library. Unfortunately where I live, I don't get access to kindle unlimited or I would definitely be using that. I also have a monthly subscription for audio books which I have been using alot lately.
I only have the basic kindle. Perhaps it's because I buy a lot of books at the klindle store but Amazon app always sends me notifications whenever they're having a book/ebook sale. I can buy books at good discounts. There are various online libraries you can subscribe to, a lot of them are free and only require you to create an account.
If the books aren't brand new then I even buy them from the market. Living in Kolkata, we have the College Street book market where one can buy a variety of books, I've seen a lot of good books at used book stores being sold very cheap. Then there's the annual Kolkata book fair which is another great place to browse and buy books. Check if you can find similar book markets or book fairs where you live.

Libraries rock!! For both physical books and e-books. Of course, I buy books I really love, to support authors, but using a library really expands my range of reading material, because I read things I wouldn't risk money on. Plus, the library has to buy the books...which helps the authors.
I have kindle unlimited and love it! I get most of my books from KU but it does not have all the authors that I read so those I must buy. I can recommend a wonderful series on unlimited - The Last Pendragon Saga - volume 1,2,3 by Sarah Woodburg.
What if myths and legends were real! What if gods and demons really walked among us - and the heir to the throne of Arthur was one of them - this is a new twist on a old tale. If you like fanstay, magic, history, adventure, and romance - this series is for you.
I have subscription to Scribt, it's great app with great content in ebooks and audiobooks. So combining kindle unlimited and scribt give you massive amounts reads to choose from
