This was another eye-opening story about immigrants in New York at the turn of the last century. I do like learning history with my fiction :-)
I love that the author includes so much history in these books. You really feel that you are in 1890's NYC and learn so much about what is happening there. This was one of my favorites of the series. I just loved the mystery and it took me a while to figure out who the killer was. I also loved how everyone kept confessing.
Unfortunately, not one of my favorites mainly because of Sarah. I still enjoyed it though. Thanks for the insightful questions, Jonetta :)
Thank you!
I enjoyed this one, primarily because I learned so much about Chinese immigration, culture and interracial marriage to Irish women. I had no idea. Plus, I truly couldn’t figure out who killed Angel.
