April was born and raised in middleton by a selkie mother and human father. they were all very fortunate to have april's coat ready for her when she was old enough to go out in the world, and that nobody ever questioned it. april's mother is a seamstress, and she would fashion it into a larger clothing item for april as she grew.
When april was six years old, mean kids living in her neighborhood took her coat and threw it in a bonfire at a party. the coat was almost completely destroyed, but luckily april's father was able to reach into the flames and grab the burning remains. he suffered second degree burns up his left forearm, and he would tell april that the benefits outweighed the consequences as he kissed the top of her head.
After the fire incident, april was more careful with her coat. it was necessary for her survival, after all. april's mother spoke to all of the selkies she knew (which was a number she could count on her hands), and came to the conclusion that the "coat" could work as any fabric around the selkie's body. she turned the remaining fabric from the fire into a "belt" that april wears around her waist to this day.
The other children could finally look past how odd it was to wear the same jacket year round, and they saw how kind and thoughtful april was. she quickly became one of the more popular girls in her school but in a good way. she was known for giving out compliments and smiles to everyone she saw, and people couldn't find it within themselves to be resentful towards her. she is now a freshman in high school, and she couldn't even imagine living in a world without all of her human friends.EXTRA: she has a beautiful singing voice but is too shy to use it in public

Danna was never happy in oborn. sure, she found joy in living in her beautiful country, but she felt like her life was insignificant and meaningless. her life changed when she was taught about the rule of chrysos. she aspired to be like chrysos, and never stopped thinking that all throughout her adolescence and adult life. one morning, while getting ready for another day of work on her family's farm, danna realized that she'd had enough. she walked away from her home with only the clothes on her back, and never thought about her life on that little farm ever again.
Knowing where she wanted to go, danna made her way up to nero to join the ranks of the neviks. she left home at 23, and it took her until she was 27 to even be recognized as a new member of the neviks. she quickly moved up in the chain of power because of her ruthlessness and mind for strategy. within eight months, she had become the top strategist for the neviks. she was in the former leader's circle of trust, and it took her nearly two years to get rid of him and take his place. she has been the leader of neviks since she was 30, and she plans on being their leader until she is a very old woman. her current goal is to kill the royal family and become the new tyrant of rayvon, all while under the guise that she wholeheartedly wants to bring back chrysos. who knows, she may even pretend to be possessed by that glorious leader just to reach her dreams.

Nemisis was born with the name jane roberts which she grew to hate at an early age. she wasn't sure of what she wanted her new name to be until she was a sixteen year old runaway in louisiana, living off the land and killing anything that looked at her funny. nemesis is notorious in the hunter community for being someone you shouldn't mess with. she's practically an outlaw, and she refuses to team up with any of the other hunters, no matter how dangerous the monster. she has no friends and is insanely skilled at killing.
Only once has nemesis tried to work with another hunter on a kill. it started with nemesis making a friends at the annual hunter gathering that she bothers to attend, and it ended with her alone outside a burning warehouse, standing over his corpse, listening to the sounds of dying vamps. she refuses to talk about that night, for that was the last time she lost someone she loved.EXTRA: she's lonely

Sofie has been causing trouble from the moment she was born. She has always been fascinated with fire and she has troubles following directions and paying attention. The combination of these three traits made her very familiar with the inside of her principal's office, even in elementary school. She had trouble making friends with the other children, which isolated her even more from a normal life. She got her hands on her first lighter when she was 10.
It all started small, with newspapers and rotting wood in an empty trashcan. She escalated to minor explosives until she was finally locked up for blowing up an empty police car parked near her high school. While in juvie, she was given a fantasy novel to read. That was three months ago. Now, she is a member of the white bandits, and she feels at home. People want her to blow things up, and she enjoys the gratification that comes with it. Alice is subdued on the best of days and positively unreachable on the worst. she was born in ogunquit, maine on a bright spring morning in april to charlotte and russel warren. she was kind and gentle throughout her childhood, always outside playing among the flowers. she moved to stanford university in california the moment she was out of high school, ready for the world to meet alice, the aspiring doctor. she went to school there for five years without any issues. she was in the top of her class in her med school, and she still loved the idea of healing others. on september 4, 2014, she started to notice a strange man following to and from all of her classes. the police refused to do anything, telling her that it was her imagination. teachers and students ignored her, believing that she was making it up for attention. her stalker continued to follow her far into the spring. on april 10, 2015, alice's parents flew in town for a surprise birthday visit. that evening when she got home from class, she found them dead in her kitchen. her stalker was still in her bedroom, writing her a message on the wall in their blood.
The police believed alice after that, but it was too late. broken, alice dropped out of school and continuously questioned why? her stalker, kyle belcher, was previously a member of a gang in la and was exiled for his reckless and malicious behavior. alice joined the KONAMI CODE shortly after moving to los angeles, still thirsty for revenge. she had long lost the spark of joy in her eyes, but was even more determined than ever to help those who had been hurt by that gang like her. she became one of their best medics very quickly because of her official medical training. she was glad to help the konami clan in any way they needed, and was especially vocal against the gang that wronged her.

Hestia was the firstborn of the Olympians, and was the first to be swallowed by her father, Cronus. She spent the longest time in his stomach, power and life draining from her immortal body the whole time. She came out afterwards as the least powerful of her siblings, and she was fine with it. She had spent enough time with her power-hungry father to know that she didn't want to rule the Earth. She preferred to care for the hearth and her siblings. When more and more gods joined the Olympians, she was happy to give up her seat at the table to avoid conflict involving the newcomer, Dionysis.
The humans eventually forgot all about the gods, and Hestia didn't mind. That's just how time worked. She had been cast aside long ago, only present in people's prayers as the hearth they were praying with. She didn't believe that the humans deserved to die for evolving past their need for the gods, so she stood against Zeus and his bigotry for the first time in her life. Hestia now cares for her family and the hearth at a new location: the eleimon base.

Nemesis has a reputation of being difficult to be around. She is brash, uncaring, and will return all aggression shown to her. She has never once forgiven someone who has wronged her and instead chooses to get even. This doesn't mean that Nemesis is friendless. Those who are able to get past her tough exterior find that she is a very protective friend. Anyone who has wronged her friends should fear for their lives because she will find you and give you what you deserve.

The humans didn't do anything wrong. If they deserved to be erased from history, Nemesis would be the first in line to carry out their divine punishment. This time they have done nothing to deserve the wrath of the gods. This is why Nemesis sided with eleimon as opposed to where one would expect to find her among the asplachnos. She followed in her mother's footsteps and took a position of authority among the eleimon. She believes that she is fit to lead because she has plenty of experience with chaos and suffering, and she is willing to do whatever it takes to win.

The city that the hunters reside in has an extensive sewer system, spanning the entirety of the base city. Of course, the hunters are well aware of this weakness in their defenses, and the sewers are heavily trapped and guarded. The sheer size of the sewer system makes it the perfect place for clandestine meetings and potential attacks, if anyone is brave enough to venture down there.
Mira only met her mother once. Her childhood consisted of her father, an academic with a love for history and law, and an empty seat at the dinner table where a mother would sit. Despite the ache she felt every time she saw a little girl holding her mother's hand on the street, Mira considered her childhood to be pleasant and full of love. Mira's dad had a cushy job as a tenured professor, and he spent as much time with Mira as he could. Every Saturday of her childhood they would travel out together to a local secondhand bookstore, picking out a new book for the week, which they would both promptly finish while sitting in companionable silence later that evening. Reading was a love that the two of them shared, and their home reflected that. Books stacked every surface to the point that their home looked more like a library's storage closet than somewhere two people lived. This wasn't to say that Mira and her father were messy people. They kept their house neat and tidy, they just had more books than they knew what to do with, and they both liked it that way.
From an early age, adults in Mira's life knew that she was special. When arguments over crayons and the last chip broke out in school, Mira was always the first to play mediator, easily resolving the issue with her quick thinking. She was excellent at games, and even her father could not beat her at Monopoly. The ease in which Mira could strategize and negotiate led to her quiet popularity in school. People liked to talk to her and she was never treated poorly, but she was never prom queen or the life of a party. She graduated high school at the top of her class and was accepted into a top university, where she then studied law and history, following in her father's footsteps. That's all she ever thought it was- traits she had inherited from her father. She was wrong.
At 22, only 2 years before everything would collapse, Mira met her mother. Metis was ethereal, the portrait of righteousness and wisdom. The Mist works both ways, and monsters were made aware of Mira's presence as well. And they made themselves known very quickly.
In the chaos that ensued, Mira ran from her home, not wanting to put her father in any danger. Metis had told her about a camp for demigods where she could be safe, so she made her way there. The next few years were hard. Camp Half Blood was a lovely place, but they were training warriors, not academics. Mira had no interest in combat, and actively avoided learning how to fight. This philosophy put Mira at odds with several of her fellow demigods, but Mira wouldn't be swayed. She was given many gifts from her mother, and bloodlust was not one of them.
To her dismay, Mira learned that her inherent skill in mediation and conflict resolution was tied with skills in battle strategy. As a form of compromise, Mira agreed to nurture that skill for the freedom to forego weapons training. At 16, Mira is known around camp as someone to talk to before leaving camp on a quest, as she always has advice on how to proceed with a dangerous mission.
