Whoa! Was Mrs. Russell really stabbed? I'm assuming so, but the 911 operators treat Anna like she calls a lot and may be delusional so I'm questioning it. I'm so proud of her for getting out of her house and going over to help! In this section I stopped feeling creeped out by her and started feeling really compassionate toward her. Im really so curious about her relationship with her husband. Does anyone think he and Olivia may actually be dead? She always calls him (she says her phone never rings), Olivia is only 8 years old (even though I still think Anna is a little older maybe?) , and with them being on such good terms and her little I love/miss you speech-- I'm just wondering what caused them to leave if it wasn't death. Something happened 11 months ago and my guess is that it was an accident and they are dead.
I'm worried about all Anna's pill/alcohol combining.
Still really enjoying this book and can't wait to hear what everyone else thinks!
Chloe I was actually thinking the same thing! I'm wondering if, since they went on their trip in a snow storm and her husband wanted to go home, maybe there was a car accident and her husband and daughter are dead, and maybe that's the event that lead to her being agoraphobic? There isn't really anything that indicates that they're still alive...
