Finished my reread: (view spoiler)[ This is one of the weaker ones for me, although I loved the section between Silk and Urgit. At this stage it is feeling a little bit "rinse and repeat " of the Belgariad. (hide spoiler)]

I’ll start tomorrow night. Need to knock out my two current reads first. Luckily they are both on the shorter side.

Great. I am glad people are coming back to this series. I am up to #3. I was steadily reading one a month until I realised that I had left everyone behind. :)

I think the rest of us just kind of forgot to read it.

Glad to see you all joining in! I didn't have immediate plans to start the Mallorean, but after a few other reads after the Belgariad, Eddings' world called me back to it!

About 25% through the book. (view spoiler)[ A lot of repetition in this book from the original series I’m really glad that Belgarion and belgarath address it. I feel like it has been nice to get to see a little more development of Silk and some others but not much of note has happened so far. (hide spoiler)]

27% done! And yes, I agree with Bill, but I'm enjoying the read nonetheless! :)

Done part one! (view spoiler)[It's interesting the way the Prophecies and necessity guide the story. The characters know they are moving forward, yet they also know it will mean that a member of the troop will die. Yet if they *don't* keep moving forward, the Dark Prophecy wins. It would be interesting to see these books from the perspective of the Child of Dark... what does he/she do to prepare for the meeting?? (hide spoiler)]
