Karl walked into the Ampitheatre swinging his sword

Vulcan walked into the Ampitheatre, pondering every way his time could be better spent.

Karl turned around almost taking the head off another student

Vulcan analyzed the situation, quickly determining that Karl was the biggest threat. Ergo, he would try to expend as little energy on the others as humanly possible.

"I ist so sorry" Karl said hurridly "I ist such a dummkopf"

Vulcan looked at the boy Karl had almost killed. The boy's defenses were weak, he noted. He examined Karl's. They were pretty good.

Karl looked at the boy that had just walked in "Are you mine next opponent?"

Vulcan nodded. He waited for Karl to attack first.

Karl studied his opponent then thrust forward in a feint

Vulcan saw it. There was a little twitch a second or two before it was properly revealed to be a feint. Karl had expected the parry to come a few seconds earlier than it did, Vulcan assumed. Vulcan used the time it took for Karl to repost to cut from Vom Tag.

Karl stumbled and recovered then thrust again

Vulcan parried it and made sure his sword's strong was against Karl's sword's weak and then reposted.

Karl set down his sword exhausted "You ist very gut danka for the match"

Vulcan nodded. "As are you."

"Do you practice here a lot?"

Vulcan shook his head. "No. Do you?"

"Quite often to practice on mine swordwork"

Vulcan nodded. "Quite logical for one who partakes in swordplay as a sport."

"In mine country it ist required for young noblemen"

"Fascinating," Vulcan replied.

"Is it not required here?" Karl asked surprised "For young gentry?

"I would not know. I am of Pure, not noble, blood," Vulcan replied.

"I was told only the high blood came here, the nobles of wizardry"

"Pure blood," Vulcan replied. "We have no muggle blood in our veins."

"Dos that not make us nobility?"

"I was not raised as nobility," Vulcan answered.

"I vas a minor prince"

Vulcan nodded. "Then you are of highly noble blood. I am the son of two professors who work in a muggle university. I am pure of blood but not a noble."

"If de are Pure why do they work with muggle filth"

"They have an obsession with muggle Roman mythology. They believe no other wizards would be interested. Some would call them blood traitors," Vulcan said matter-of-factly

"Vell it ist nice yah that they have the choice"

Vulcan replied, "The choice was theirs, but it caused their families to disown them."

"It ist wrong for family to part in such a way because of a choice"

"It's all honor, no?" Vulcan pointed out.

"Yet honor should not part a family"

"They are stubborn, and neither would back down."

"Vell would you like to talk about something else"

Vulcan nodded.

"Are you good at sports?"

"I am as good as my abilities permit," Vulcan replied.

"Do you javelin throw or knife throw?"

Vulcan shook his head. "If I watched and analyzed, I could likely replicate the required motions."

Karl looked at him in awe "You are goot then"

"I would say my neurons are highly functional and capable, yes," Vulcan said.

((I just watched my first episode of star treck)) "Vat does your nerons haf to do with ze swordplay?"

((TOS?)) "It has to do with my ability to mimic," Vulcan pointed out.

((what does TOS mean?)) "You mimic well mein herr"
