After reading 'Fight Club', I began to wonder what were the most mind-bending books out there. They don't have to be from any genre in particular, the only criteria being that they are a good ol' mind fuck.

On my list, along with "Fight Club," might be John Fowles's "The Magus," Anthony Burgess's "A Clockwork Orange," and Ian McEwan's "Atonement." Then there's always Henry James's old classic "The Turn of the Screw." I'd add Stevenson's "Jekyll and Hyde," but the "secret" is so well known that you can't experience the bend RLS's original readers would have.
