Leonardo sighed, his feet lightly drifting across the clear water’s surface as he stared at his perfect reflection dancing among its small waves. The feeling in the back of his head hurt like hell at that point and he couldn’t help but smile. It was coming. Drifting his hand across the surface of the water once more, he closed his eyes and listened contently to his surroundings quietly. Leonardo usually did this for long periods of time, but this time he reopened his eyes after a few seconds. Humming once, he looked up at the trees around him and stared.
Just a few trees away hidden in the thickly leaved branches a woman watched him. She was perched and observant, much like a leopard would stalk its prey before leaping to it. Then again she was much like a leopard herself, often "playing" with her "food". Amora had been tracking and even stalking her target, Leonardo Vincinate, a rebel supporter a spy just like her. For what it was worth, she didn't feel a personal need to kill the young man, after all, they were nearly one and the same. Taking the rope she had taken with her Amora tied most of her larger more suspicious items to the tree. With swift fingers hardly registering the pain before it happened she removed two arrows from the quiver, borrowed from the guard's armory, and jamming it between her shoulder and collarbone. The pain was hardly felt the first time and when Amora went for the second she chose the meaty part of her calf, two arrows should be convincing enough. Maybe picking out the helpless fellow rebel persona was more difficult than she'd like however it'd play off well, that was until she had to deal herself a sizable gash to her side. Oh, so that's what needing stitching felt like, she'd nearly forgotten.
Leonardo's eyes flashed back and forth like an eagle's eye, contently and clearly watching. The light that seemed to shine through the leaves from above made its way to his reflective eyes, adding small dots to his dark dark brown eyes as they bounced back and forth smoothly. Puckering his lips, the male stood from the water's shore and walked a ways to the treeline, seemingly stopped and turning around as if something was there. As if someone was there. The slight smell of blood pricked the air as Leonardo remembered where he really was. Taking a deep breath, the male spoke. "Is someone there?"
Breathing out a curse, Amora wrote an almost sloppy rune of concealment over her other things in her own blood, not what she'd prefer though it should work. Either she'd been too noisy or that man had a keen sense of smell. Taking a purposefully rattling breath she let a boot covered foot dangle just in view of Leonardo even shifting in the tree. Cursing louder this time so he'd hear her, "Would it'd convince you if I say no?" asked Amora just with a convincing, though covered cough. She glanced at her things in the tree, luck was smiling at her it seems, her rune had worked.
Leonardo waited as he soon spotted the boot dangling from the tree ahead of him. A grin came to his face as he nodded in response. "It might just convince me. But sadly you missed your chance." Walking over to the stranger, the male stopped at the edge of the treeline and contently watched her hang from the tree. "Well? Who even are you?"
((sorry that it's short and it's late D:))
((sorry that it's short and it's late D:))
((AHH same here!))Amora let out a grunt trying to fix her position in the tree, a hand was resting on her self inflicted wound as she broke off the shaft of the arrow embedded in her calf. Looking at Leonardo she attempted to hide her face more, "Damn luck mustn't be on my side then, eh? Same as you a rebel hoping to not bleed out before my massage is sent, though I suppose you aren't bleeding," the assassin rambled breathlessly, "Rivet, right thats my name," said Amora giving out the name mist of the rebels knew her by, at that point the ginger had made a little reputation for herself with the rebellion. Honestly most figured she got her information by using her looks, but others knew the skill Amora had with a knife. She figured that if Leonardo knew she was on his side might allow her to get closer, though she needn't kill him right away. After all that was pointless the man might have information she did not.
Leonardo slightly smirked at the response the stranger gave, looking back over at the stream as he tried to find the words in his head to speak with. “Ah yes, I am indeed not bleeding. But you, you are Rivet. Might I pledge some assistance to you dear friend?” Walking a bit closer to the person now known as Rivet, Leonardo placed a smile onto his face to show kindness. Rivet was hurt and maybe, just maybe, the boy could help. “Leonardo, my name. If anything you deserve it after you gave me yours, ey?”
